Alice MacArthur Geelan, age 88, of High Point, Brooksville, Florida, formerly of Greenwich, NY, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017.
Born May 22, 1929 in Cambridge, NY she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys Benson MacArthur.
On August 14, 1949 Alice married the love of her life, Foster Geelan at South Cambridge Methodist Church, they enjoyed 55 years together.
Alice was a member of Greenwich Centenary United Methodist Church. She owned and operated the Sears Catalog Store in Greenwich, NY for many years. Together with Foster, they owned Geelan's Green Villa Motel & Produce Stand, a construction business and a funnel cake
concession. In retirement, Foster & Alice moved to High Point Golf Community, in Brooksville, FL and continued to enjoy life to its fullest.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Foster Geelan, and an infant daughter, Lynda Geelan.
Survivors include her son's Gregory Geelan of Columbus, Ohio, Barry (Sally) Geelan of Erlanger, Kentucky, Darrell (Mary) Geelan of Greenwich, NY and daughter Marcie (Ron) Carmean of Brooksville, FL,
6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
Interment will be in Woodlands Cemetery, Cambridge, NY at the convenience of the family.
