Anita Teresa (Bizzigotti) Roffe, 90, of Spring Hill, Florida died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She was born in Queens, New York, spent many years on Long Island, New York, and had lived in Spring Hill for her last 25 years.
Anita was a retired cosmetology teacher from Wilson Technical High School in Northport, New York. She was an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church where she served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Communion. Anita enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing Mahjong with her friends, and socializing with the neighbors in her village.
Anita married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Kenneth J. Roffe, who predeceased her 15 years prior. She is also predeceased by her great-grandson Cooper Schuessler.
Anita is survived by her daughter and three sons, Maureen (Roffe) Schuck of Holyoke, Massachusetts; Kenneth T. Roffe and his wife Vicki Roffe of Bradenton, Florida; Michael Roffe and his wife Becky Roffe of Hamlin, New York; and Paul Roffe of Brockport, New York.
Anita leaves behind her six grandchildren, William Schuck, Heather (Schuck) Schuessler and her husband Michael Schuessler, Sarah Roffe, Morgan Roffe and her fiancé Russell Lowe, Schuyler Roffe, Erin Roffe and Anita’s great-grandchildren Owen Schuessler and Christian Schuessler. Anita also leaves behind her best friend of 57 years, Marie Lockyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapters Health Home Care 12254 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34613.
A celebration mass will be held on Monday, March 27, at 11:00 am, at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Private interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery.
