GERALD M POWERS

POWERS, GERALD M. 88, Spring Hill, formerly of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Holiday Island, Arkansas, and Palm Harbor, FL, passed away August 5, 2014. He retired from R. R. Donnelley, a commercial printing company. He was a WWII Navy veteran, 4th Degree member of St. Jude Council #6383, Knights of Columbus, past chairman of Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District, past volunteer at Regional Medical Center, Bayonet Point in Hudson, and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Gerald is survived by his beloved son, Kyle, Warrenville, IL, brothers, Clifford, and his wife, Janet, of Wisconsin, son-in-law Jay, and his wife Sue List, Ocala, granddaughters, Sara (Schmelzer) List, Luxemburg, WI and Abby (Baker) List, Wichita, KS, Barbara, and her husband, Michael Benedict, Augusta, GA; great grandsons, Caden and Donovan Schmelzer and great granddaughters, Lauren and Taylor Benedict. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irene; daughter, Kim List, son, Kevin, stepdaughters, Barbara Ann Conrad and Patricia Conrad, stepson, Gregory Conrad, and brother, John E., and his wife, Leatrice. Friends may call at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel, Mariner Boulevard, Thursday, August 7, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM, wake at 7:30PM. A funeral mass will be conducted at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Friday, August 8, 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill Drive, Brooksville.
