Glenn Patrick Hayes, a beacon of wisdom, authenticity, and Irish stubbornness, passed away on March 31, 2025. Born on October 3, 1952, Glenn lived a fulfilling life and left an enduring legacy of kindness and forgiveness. Glenn is survived by his wife, Lorraine Hayes, and his children; Steven Koestler, Kaitlyn Hayes, and Jocelyn Goos. He held a special place in his heart for his daughters-in-law, Libby Koestler, and his son-in-law, Patrick Ritchie.

The light of Glenn's life were his grandchildren; Josef Koestler, Charlotte Koestler, Olivia Yukoweic, and Claire Ritchie, who he adored endlessly.

Glenn was predeceased by his son, US Army veteran, Robert Hayes.

Glenn proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as an 0331 Machine Gunner, and his love for his country was beyond reproach. Both of Glenn's sons went on to serve their nation in the US military.


As a family man, Glenn shared many invaluable life lessons with his loved ones. Among his most cherished teachings were the values of honesty and integrity. His principles have shaped the lives of his family members and will continue to guide them.

Glenn's legacy of kindness and forgiveness will be a comforting reminder of the wonderful man he was. He leaves behind a family who will remember him fondly, miss him immensely, and strive to uphold the values he instilled in them.


A memorial service to celebrate Glenn's life will be held on April 18, 2025, at 10:00AM in Inverness Florida.

His family invites those who knew and loved Glenn to join them in honoring his memory and his lasting impact on their lives. His wisdom, authenticity, and the blunt honesty that defined his character will be sorely missed. The legacy Glenn leaves behind will forever be cherished by his family and everybody who had the privilege of knowing him.
