Pantaleo, James D., Sr., 92, of Spring Hill, passed August 2, 2017. He is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, and World War II Victory Medal. He owned and operated his own transmission repair shop, and was a member of the Fort Hamilton Memorial Post 27, American Legion, in Brooklyn, New York. He loved his eight children, as well as fishing, hunting, gardening, and his pet dogs. He was a hard working mechanic who loved his coffee. Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017, from 5-8pm, with services starting at 6pm. Burial will take place in Staten Island, New York.
