James Robert Wilson

WILSON, JAMES R. M.D., 73, in Spring Hill, passed away peacefully at home July 13, 2014 after a two year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, son, Mark (Rachel), and sister Judy Little of Tampa, FL. He was preceded in death by his son, Derek. Dr. Wilson practiced Internal Medicine and Nephrology in the Tampa and Hernando areas for over 38 years. He was co-founder of the Hernando Kidney Center, where he served as Medical Director for 15 years; and was instrumental in bringing hemodialysis therapy units to our local area hospitals. Semi-retired, he was a HPH Hospice physicians for four years. He cared deeply for his patients. He loved sports and reading. He always had a good word and a smile. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to HPH Hospice. We will miss him and always love him. “Go Razorbacks!!
