Joseph “Jerry” DesGroseilliers, 88, of Spring Hill, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 12th, 2022. Jerry was born in Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada to Paul and Juliette DesGroseilliers on May 27, 1933. Jerry moved to the United States in his early teens and joined the military directly after graduating from Chateaugay High School. He eventually settled in Keeseville, NY where he became a well known businessman, school bus driver, and active member of the community. After retiring, he moved to Spring Hill, Florida with his wife of 36 years. Together they enjoyed traveling the United States and visiting a long list of National Parks. Most importantly, Jerry enjoyed “a beautiful day in Florida” doing yard work, golfing, and bowling.
Survivors include his loving wife, Linda (Lessard), sons Stan (Elisa) DesGroseilliers and Rich (Darolyn) DesGroseilliers, daughter Denise (Jim) Britton, daughter-in-law Stephanie (Fountain) DesGroseilliers, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his sister, Claudette Hale, brother Roger DesGroseilliers, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Steve DesGroseilliers due to ALS, his brother Roy, and his parents.
A memorial celebrating Jerry’s life and friendships will take place at a later date and time to be determined by his family.
