Joseph G Garza, 96, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on June 5, 2024. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to his father, Jesus Garza, and mother, Louise Garza. He was a US Navy veteran who served during World War II and retired from Bristol Myers Squibb in 1991. He is predeceased by his wife, Mildred “Millie” Garza, and children, Douglas, and Dennis. He is survived by his brother, John (wife Clare), and his children Roe (two grandchildren and one great grandchild), Joseph, Deborah (three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren), Denise (husband John, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren), Daniel, Donald (wife Marguerite, and two grandchildren), Carol (one grandchild), and Christopher (two grandchildren). Joseph maintained a strong work ethic throughout his life and continued working and keeping busy, even after retiring. He was a loving husband and father who did whatever he could to take care of his family, and always worked firmly, but lovingly, to ensure that his children had the necessary skills that they would need to succeed in life. When Joseph was not working, he was an avid lover of science fiction, professional wrestling, and theme parks. He was known to enjoy rollercoasters well into his later years, riding even at 95 years of age. He was a congregate of St. Francis Cabrini Church in Spring Hill, and he was laid to rest July 8, 2024, at Florida National Memorial Cemetery.
