Joseph C. Seyfried of Spring Hill, Fl passed away peacefully on February 10, 2023, surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen of 68 years. He is survived by four children. Kathleen Seyfried, James Seyfried, Elaine Recker and her husband Rodger, Joseph Seyfried and his wife Darlene, as well as four loving grandchildren, Estevan, James, Michael and Rodger.
 
Joseph was the youngest of seven children to John and Mary Seyfried. He was the first to be born in a hospital. He served in Korea as a corporal in the U.S. Army. He was born in Briarwood, N.Y., and moved to New Hyde Park in 1977.  Joe & Kathleen moved to Spring Hill in 1989 after he retired from Con Edison, and they enjoyed a social life with a large group of friends. They traveled on cruises, and trips to Europe, Korea, Japan and Alaska. He had an impish smile which would presage a wry remark. Joe and Kathleen loved to dance to ballroom music.
 
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the wounded warriors which he donated to faithfully.
