I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an after-glow
of smiles when my day is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways
of the happy times, the laughing
times, the bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who
grieve for me to dry tonight
before the setting of the sun,
and to think of all the happy
memories I leave behind
when my day is done
With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say:
“Look! The tent of God is with mankind,
and he will reside with them,
and they will be his people. And God himself
will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will
mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
The former things have passed away.”
