Marlene Joyce Larson, 83, of Spring Hill, died Monday, March 28, 2022 in Hospice House of Brooksville, FL with family by her side.
Marlene was born June 11, 1938 in Jamestown, NY to Russell and Adeline Carlson. She married her highschool sweetheart Donald Larson June 30, 1956, and had 3 sons: Craig, Chris, and Todd. She was devoted to her family and was a homemaker until the late 70s when she helped her husband, Don, open a tv and stereo sales & repair shop which they operated until they retired. She had several hobbies including reading, bowling, and crocheting. She also liked taking road trips and her favorite place was the Tennessee mountains in fall.
Marlene is survived by her three sons: Craig(Marie) Larson, Chris(Susan) Larson, and Todd(Andrea) Larson; 5 grandchildren: Tara(Dan) Donaldson, Danny(Nicki) Larson, Ryan Larson, Justin(Victoria) Larson, and Adam Larson; 10 great-grandchildren: Erin, Joshua, Lucas, and Emily Donaldson, Nathan and Lauren Larson, Jared and William Larson, Bella Collins, and Willow Larson; a sister, Gayle(Denny) Sauner; a brother, Douglas(Louise) Carlson; a brother-in-law, Frank Gatto; four nieces and three nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Donald Larson; her parents; a sister, Kathleen Gatto; and two nephews Jamie and Donny Carlson.
A private Celebration of Life is planned for the near future. She will be interred next to her husband at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
