Mary Ann (Massnick) Murray, 83, of Brooksville, FL. passed away on August 30, 2020 in her home. A private funeral service will be held at Bushnell Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Brookridge Golf Club, 8161 Hampton Street, Brooksville, FL. 34613. Arrangements were made by Pinecrest Funeral Chapel. Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan to Alfred and Vivian Massnick on March 7, 1937. Upon graduation from Grosse Point High School, Mary went to attend Wayne State University. Mary worked for Warren Fitzgerald School system for 27 years as an administrative assistant. After retirement, Mary and her husband, John, traveled the country in their fifth wheel for eight wonderful years before settling in their home in Brooksville. Along their journeys, they met and enjoyed many friends and traveling companions. Mary loved spending time with her family and enjoyed many other hobbies including knitting, cards and golf. Mary was a Girl Scout leader, den mother, Alhambra member and member of several square dance clubs. Mary is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Bob) Dunn of Brooksville, FL, son, John (Lisa) Murray of Brooksville, FL and daughter Sandra Murray of Rochester Hills, MI. She has 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John, her son , Daniel Scott, great grandson, Robert Schleeter, parents, Alfred & Vivian Massnick, sister Nancy (Massnick) Guidot, and brother William Massnick. Our family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Jasmin Desai, Florida Cancer Specialist, and Hospice of Hernando County.
