Melissa L Phillips

Melissa Lawson Philips, 54, of Spring Hill, FL passed away on Friday April 28th, 2023. Melissa was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Linda and Acey (Bill) Lawson Sr. on October 24th, 1968. She was employed at Access Healthcare in the state of Florida for 6 months and was previously an office manager at Lineage in Kentucky for 18 years. It was Melissa’s dream to move down to Florida with her brother, sister, and son.

Melissa is preceded in death by her mother Linda Lawson, brothers William Daniel, Shawn Bradford, son Gabriel Phillips and all of her grandparents. She is survived by her children Kaylee Phillips, Noah Phillips, their father Kevin Phillips, her father Acey (Bill) Lawson Sr., her siblings Acey Lawson Jr. (Jennifer Lawson), Melinda Lawson, Norman (Jason) Lawson, her fur babies; Katara, Lexie, Zoey, and many aunts, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held in Louisville, KY at a later date to be determined where all of her friends and family will be invited to attend. Melissa was a huge animal lover and it showed through her continued support of animal shelters. In lieu of flowers, we encourage everyone to donate to Melissa’s favorite non-profit organization Alley Cats and Desert Dogs Relief Project or Pawsitively Purrfect Kitten Rescue in Spring Hill, Florida.
