Michael Boyd Spencer Sr

It grieves us to inform all family, friends and acquaintances that Michael (Mike) B. Spencer, age 68 of Brooksville, Florida passed away on December 23, 2021. Born to James C & Lois E Spencer on October 8, 1953. Mike grew up in Greencastle, Indiana being the eldest of six children. Mike was a graduate of Greencastle High School, where he participated in Football. After high school Mike went on to work for Public Works of Indiana before moving his family to the sunshine state. Being a craftsman at heart, Mike had a passion and love for building things. He worked in the construction industry as a superintendent specializing in many areas including the construction of hotels and residential homes. Mike’s passion didn’t end there, he opened his own painting company and even after retirement still managed to do small jobs for his happy customers. Mike was also a long standing, active member of the Mason’s where he formed lasting friendships and fond memories with many! Mike is preceded in death by his loving parents Jim & Lois and a younger brother James Robert. He is survived by many people who love and will miss him, including his beloved partner of 13 years Jodi McLynn, his best pal, his dog Cooper. His Children Michael Spencer, Sara Bayly (husband Steve), Brandon Spencer (Wife Cassandra), Jodi’s son Tim McLynn (wife Jessica), his siblings Stacey Spencer (wife Lynn), Teena Spencer, Rodney Spencer (wife Beth), and Tonya Spencer. 15 grandchildren: Michael Ryan, Bailey, Daniel, Conner, RJ, Tyler, Bailey, Lily, Layla, Noah, Teagan, Ashton, Declan, Emily, and Marcel. Please join us as we celebrate Mike’s life, that big smile & contagious laugh.
