Michael James Stromley

Michael J. Stromley was born February 8^th 1947 to Chris & Viola Stromley. At the age of 17 Mike convinced his mother to sign papers for him to join the Navy, following the footsteps of his older brothers.  He served 4 years in the Navy and was proud to have served his country until the time of his passing. After the Navy he stayed in Rhode Island. There he met his wife Donna who passed in 2020. They both decided they were tired of the cold weather so they sold their home to move to Florida. Donna & Mike loved the warmth of Florida, enjoying every day they had together sitting on the porch or the sun room soaking in the sun.  Mike owned his own construction company in Rhode Island and Florida until he retired, closing his business in 2017 or 2018. One thing remembered most about Mike was his love and respect for his parents, especially his mother. Mike had numerous dogs & loved them all deeply. He also loved caring for his friends Norm & Cheryl’s horses and donkey. Whenever family came to visit he would take them to the pasture to meet them. Mike liked to tell people that he grew up on a farm in Iowa and had chicken every Sunday for dinner.  He will be greatly missed.  He left behind his sister Marge & family, his amazing friends Norm & Cheryl who cared for him after the passing of Donna.  Marge is so very thankful for the love and kindness they had for Mike. Another sister Barb & family. He was proceeded in death by his parents, 14 siblings, his wife Donna and many of their dogs.
