Michael Thomas Weaver, age 69, of 12431 Indigo Bunting road, Weeki Wachee, Florida, died Friday, October 29th, at 1:12pm, surrounded by family in his home.
Born March 31, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Onis Weaver and Rose Falco. He was a retired master printer and a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran who served two tours of active duty at the age of 18 to 19 years old.
Michael went to Van Horn High School in Kansas City, Missouri and went on to an Associate Degree in electronics before becoming a master printer. He was forced to retire early due to a heart disability resulting from Vietnam, that required him to receive a heart transplant on March 17th, 2011. He struggled with his health for over 29 years; he was a strong that loved his family beyond himself.
Michael enjoyed carpentry, working on cars, and teaching his sons about mechanics. He was an involved father when not working. He coached little league football with Joel (our youngest son, who passed March 20th, 2018 at age 38). He loved sports, especially football, the Buccaneers and Chiefs. For a few years he enjoyed watching his grandson, Demetrius compete in Tae Kwon Do tournaments.
He fought a long and hard battle but always chose family first.
Michael married Kathy E. Conger April 3rd, 1976 and they renewed their vows New Years Eve, 2008. They have been together 2 months short of 46 years.
Michael is survived by his daughters Salina Brozik and husband Frank, of Brooksville, Florida, Angelia Brown of Brooksville, Florida, son Michael P. Weaver of Kansas City, Missouri.
He was a loving grandfather who idolized his grandchildren, Demetrius Garcia, Maya Garcia, Blake Brown, Mike Weaver, Allison Weaver, Miranda Brozik, Anthony Brozik, Franki Brozik, and great-grandson AJ Brozik, brother, Bill Burke of Sugar Creek, Missouri, niece Tammy Rivera, Patrick Weaver of Independence, Missouri, wife, Patricia, nephews Patrick and Billy, cousins Mary Ann Steiner, husband Jack, previously of Kansas City, Missouri, Liz Gilpin, Lee Summit, Missouri.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Onis Weaver, Rose Williams, brother, Bobby Lazenby and sister Lilly Shismenos.
He will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
