Paul William Tacket

Paul William Tacket, 89, of Weeki Wachee, Florida passed away on October 10, 2023.  He was born to Evelyn V. (Tacket) Mosher and Preston W. Tacket on April 10, 1934 in Irwin, Pennsylvania.  He married Alethea Ellen (Poling) Tacket on March 27, 1954. A United States Army Veteran, he served during the Korean Conflict.   

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and stepfather, Alois E. Mosher, sister Virginia Furr, as well as by his oldest son Keith Wade Tacket.  Along with his widow, he is survived by son Paul Tacket, Morgantown, WV and daughters Denise Tacket, Weeki Wachee, Florida and Rebecca Tacket Kelley, Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Also surviving are his grandchildren Jason (Cassi) Tacket of Morgantown, WV, Joshua Tacket, of Morgantown, WV, Adam Tacket of Morgantown, WV, Kelin Burden of Xenia, Ohio, Bryant (Kathryn) Kelley of Cedar Rapids, IA and Troy Kelley of Fort Wayne, IN as well as ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. His sister, Kay Miller, Homeland, CA, also survives. 

He will forever be remembered as an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, for his love of his Savior Jesus Christ, for how he enjoyed the outdoors, his fondness for birds and all things flavored lemon or cherry, for various hobbies, and for his ability to fix every broken thing.
