Peter Diulio

d. June 23, 2021

PETER F. DIULI0 JUNE 13,1950 - JUNE 23,2021 My beloved husband, Peter, passed away on June 23, 2021. To me he was my best friend, to his family he was Dad and Grandpa or Papa, and to countless students and school personnel, he was simply "Chef". To say he was a great husband is an understatement, as Peter was my forever companion. He was always supportive in every way, truly cared about my feelings and could always make me laugh. Peter was, to say the least, a terrific loving, caring and understanding dad and step-dad. One of his favorite things to do was to “chit-chat” on the phone with his kids. He loved keeping in touch with them, pretty much daily, and to discuss the “how to” on various recipes. Peter was the best fur dad ever. Everyone who knew him was aware of the close bond he shared with his beloved Max. Many Saturdays he could be found driving the "Maxi Taxi" all over Spring Hill, going on errands or just taking Max somewhere to play. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues. Chef was a great teacher, but he was an even better colleague and teammate. He will always be remembered by them as a sweet, funny, kind a generous person. Most of his colleagues will forever tear up when they eat a chocolate chip cookie as baking those cookies for his co-workers, administration and anyone else who came around his classroom was one of his favorite things to do and gave him tremendous pleasure . As Chef, he touched the lives of countless students. We hardly went anywhere without running into former students who would let him know how much they loved him and his Culinary class. In fact in 2009, Chef was recognized as Teacher of the Year at Nature Coast Technical High School. Some of Peter's affiliations are Alumni, Culinary Institute of America; Member, Florida Chef's Association; Member, Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association; Member, Hernando County Chamber of Commerce; Member and Co-Founder of the Hernando County Restaurant Association and Member, Hernando County Retired Educators Association. On Friday, July 30, 2021 between 5:00 and 7:00pm at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel, we will gather together to share a tear and a laugh, to remember all of Peters kindnesses, his love for people and to remember all of the many many good times he shared with us all. I Have A Place In Heaven - Unknown Please don't sing sad songs for me, Forget your grief and fears, For I am in a perfect place Away from pain and tears It's far away from hunger And hurt and want and pride, I have a place in Heaven With the Master at my side. My life on earth was very good, As earthly life can go, But Paradise is so much more Than anyone can know. My heart is filled with happiness And sweet rejoicing, too. To walk with God is perfect peace, A joy forever new.
