Thomas John Valentino, born November 9th 1965 in New Rochelle, New York, son of Joseph Valentino & Carmella LaBrusciano-Valentino, passed away just a day short of his 59th birthday on November 8th 2024.
His childhood and teenage years were spent growing up in the small village of Mamaroneck NY with his sister Ann LaBrusciano. He spent some later years of his life being an avid fisherman, boating, enjoying timeless music, and gaining knowledge of many trades.
Thomas met his beloved wife, Cheryl Valentino in 1992 and married July 17th 1997.
On March 17th 1998, his biggest accomplishment was brought into the world, his daughter Antoinette Valentino.
Tom had not 1, but 2 high school diplomas, from Mamaroneck High School, and Rye Neck High School. Thomas was a jack of all trades even as a young man. He knew about cars, motorcycles, trains, boats; if it had an engine, he knew how to fix it.
Thomas loved the warm tropical climate and decided in 2001 it was time to move to Naples, FL. He continued to raise his family and earned well deserved success over the years, before settling down in Tampa, FL and purchasing his own business. He had a love for expensive, nice things, like big boats and fancy cars, but more than anything, he was proud of his family.
Thomas had a strong faith in God, and he overcame many challenges throughout his life. He had to hike over the steepest of mountains, but the view in the distance always kept a smile in his eyes. Thomas had advice for everyone. From the best slice of Sicilian pie, to how to use brake cleaner to get stains out of your upholstery. Thomas was the kind of person you could meet one time, have one conversation with, and it would stick with you for a lifetime. He had an “unapologetically stay true to who you are” attitude like no other. He was one of a kind, and his presence and optimism will walk beside many of us every day.
Thomas is predeceased by his father, Joseph Valentino, mother Carmella LaBrusciano-Valentino, brother in-law Michael Defiore, & uncle Antonio LaBrusciano.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Cheryl Valentino, daughter Antoinette Valentino & partner Conner Weisz, son Michael Goldberg & his wife Alexandra Goldberg, son Matthew Goldberg, son John Baurle, daughter Madison Lorenz, granddaughters Ava Goldberg, Ila Goldberg, Gabriella Goldberg, and Charlotte Goldberg, sister Ann LaBrusciano-DeRosa, nieces Jenneen Defiore & her husband Gregory Fauci, and niece Samantha Defiore.
