Virgil Anthony Mostarda

Mostarda, Virgil A., 84, of Spring Hill, passed January 16, 2024. He was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois to August and Stella Mostardo. He enlisted in the navy after high school, serving aboard the destroyer USS Goodrich. After his naval service, he worked for General Motors as a quality control inspector. In 2005 he and his wife, Joan, relocated from Bloomingdale, Illinois to Spring Hill. Virgil was a fun-loving joker who enjoyed spending his mornings with the gang at Dunkin' Donuts and supper at Cody's. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Frances Cabrini. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Joan. He is survived by his brothers, Edward and Gus (Eleanor), and nieces Karen, Sandy and Lauren, and nephews Jeffrey, Chris and John. Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 2-4pm, with a service at 4. Burial will follow in Elmhurst, Illinois.
